The National Broadband Network (NBN)

The NBN is Australia's first national wholesale-only, open access communications network that is being built to bring high speed broadband and telephone services within the reach of all Australian premises. NBN expected to make possible improved ways for you to connect with one another. Within the next decade, the plan is for every home, school and workplace in the country to have access to the NBN.

NBN’s objective is to provide access to fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP) technology to 93 percent of Australian homes, schools and businesses. Because of the size of our country, we will also need to use fixed wireless and satellite technology to connect those premises that do not fall into the fibre footprint. Here you can find out more about how we are going to deliver the largest infrastructure project in Australia's history.
